Reaping the Harvest

Last night saw us enjoy the first produce from the permaculture garden.

Sweet golden corn.

Accompanied by prime beef, cooked medium-rare, drizzled with a generous serve of Diane sauce made from pan juices, garlic, cream and a good dash of brandy and a hearty pile of fresh asparagus cooked in the same pan as the steak, further enhanced by a glass of fine red wine, we moaned and groaned and delighted in the spoils of our land.

  3. Wow, they are the best filled cobs of corn I've seen this season - what beauty - almost too good to eat - almost. Mine are just starting to bear too. How I love a summer garden.
