Despite the fact that I take hundreds of photographs every month, and have CDs, DVDs, USBs and external hard drives overflowing with these reminders of my everyday family life, when Sally needed a family photo to take to school this past week, there was nought to be found. In fact the last image of the six of us was taken in April 09.
So this afternoon, after much pleading from Sally, the tripod was found, the camera and manual unearthed, and the troops gathered.
No changing into good clothes, no make-up, hair or attempts to hide Sally's latest go-karting gravel rash.
Just as.
As is.
Take it or leave it.

Just fabulous, Fi! I love every single one. I had wondered about that rash ☺. What a happy family. And it's so wonderful to see you for once! I must buy us a tripod...J x
ReplyDeleteI was thinking that this is the family in their natural state :-) love it. At least you are all reasonably clean! Must do the same here, luckily I have some leverage at the moment to force the husband (who was photographed just THREE TIMES with any member of this family last year)to participate.
ReplyDeleteFantastic Fiona. What a fun bunch you all are.
ReplyDeleteI'd be in the same boat here - STACKS of photos, but none as a family! x
Your family look amazing. I love it.
ReplyDeleteThe only one we could find for a school project was with the seven of us wearing eyepatches and grimacing "ARRRGH!" as pirates. Whenever we are dressed up for a do we are in such a fluster that we just forget to get a shot or else something or somebody malfunctions. Love that it is so real and happy. Studio shots can look so very contrived. This is just full of joy!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant pictures. They are all so natural.
ReplyDeleteFiona, they're all perfect!!
ReplyDeleteThey are such lovely family photos. Everytime I come here I get tears welling-up in my eyes. Either you have to stop posting such touching, natural photos, or I have to toughen up a bit! (I'm thinking that one day Wallace is going to love having so many sisters, with so many sister-friends!)
ReplyDeleteYep, they look like the mob I remember.
ReplyDeleteThese are excellent photos. Almost makes me wish I had more kids (almost!).
ReplyDeleteYou are one of the luckiest women I know. You get all that, isn't it wonderful.
ReplyDeleteYour children are beautiful. I love the one of hubby cracking up.
LOVE! And it's so wonderful to see you and your husband in a photo too :) What a gorgeous, happy family. Sally will no doubt be very proud to show off her family at school xxx
ReplyDeleteLove it! Just as it is! xxx
ReplyDeleteBrilliant pics Fiona!!!
ReplyDeleteYours is the second family photo I have seen on a blog this week. Please do it more often, because one one of that family goes it is too late as we have found out.
ReplyDeleteFantastic Fiona - an inspirational lot that you all are!
ReplyDeleteLovely, everyone happy! No one pinching or shoving another- as my lot would be up to!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
