I was on my way to a Ball the other day ...

The only photo of the evening compliments of Jessie, beside the car, running late.  As it turned out, we got half way in, remembered the plate of sangers, screaming uey, back home, back out, grumpy husband.  We were the only ones with hall keys. No pressure. All good.  Great music, great people, great night.

  1. well that photo isn't too bad, nice light and what we can see of the green dress doesn't seem too bad at all (what was wallace talking about!)your hair looks great too and seems that you too may have spent some time with ye old straigtening iron.

and pleased to hear that I am not the only one that forgets stuff but unlike you did not turn around and go back. Apple Slice anyone? supersized tray in the fridge that will be forced down the family's throat until its finished. I may even send some to school for the teachers!

  2. ps The Husband here would like your ball better than ours, where jeans and open necked shirts are frowned upon.He loves his suit so. (Dress strictly formal)

  3. You both look great. That green is a lovely colour & compliments your hair-which is looking gorgeous I might add.
Yes, on the grumpy husband when things are forgotten or lost.

Hope you had a great night,
    Niki. x

Well I think you and the "better half" look far more classier than that "Jennifer Lopez".
I would love to see Ms Lopez doing what you have to do - she wouldn't last a bloody minute. I doubt if she has ever seen a cow/bull/bullock/heifer/calf in a paddock?
An overpaid, underdressed, stupid person is what I think of her ( and I am being at my politeness nicest!)
Noted your comment on Linda's (Alberta) blog.
I think the Aussie business comes from a ranch hand at times who does rodoeing over there. I think the name is Jake (??) - anyhow Linda will if she see this correct me. Jake (??) comes from Tenterfield region of the New England Highlands, NSW.

  9. That evening light is beautiful Fiona! Your dress is a far cry from the previous visual - thank goodness! Not that you couldn't carry off a J.Lo look with all that running!
