First Year nearly Done

You know it's nearing the end of year when there are Presentation Nights to attend.  Sarah has blazed a trail through this first year of 'big' school, yet again setting a high standard for those who will follow.

It seemed everybody wanted in on the action,

all clambering for a photo with the girl of the moment.

Well done Sare, we're very proud.
And also so pleased the fringe-phase didn't last long.

  1. Congratulations Sarah, very well done! I can't believe the first year of boarding school will soon be over; it's gone so quickly Fiona....and you survived it! Mare.

  2. What a little champion! Good one Sarah! You're so clever and such a wonderful big sister! I'd be squeezing you too, if I had the chance! (Lucky for you I don't have the chance, because there's nothing worse than a crazy old lady you don't know hugging you for all she's worth!)

  4. Well done to your girl. I still think of 'big school' as Kindergarten, so I have a lot to learn! x

  6. good work Sarah, and mum too for making it through the year :) I told you it would be ok (remind me of this in two years time please)both of you look so very proud of your big girl.

reminds me of my first year at boarding school - I got Dux and until they called me to the office to choose my prize, I had no idea such thing even existed, so it came as quite a surprise. I didn't tell mum and dad either so they got a surprise on speech day as well...I have just worked out how long ago that was, which comes as QUITE a rude surprise right now!

    roll on school holidays!

  8. Oh congratulations, my eldest is in year 8 & wrapping up another year of academic & sports prizes, we're so incredibly proud. Her sisters & brother love the goals she is setting. They are such special girls, the ones who made us mummies & setting the most wonderful example to their siblings. This is so wonderful, good for her, she looks so pleased too. It's such a big deal & i love that my girl still strives while so many of her friends think it's a bit daggy to achieve (at an all girls private school too) which makes my mind boggle. Love Posie
