Merry, Merry Christmas

There's rain on the roof.
Kids playing cards on the verandah, humming Christmas carols.
Boys, big and small watching Iron Man in the loungeroom.
Choc Hazelnut Pavlova freshly assembled.
White Rocky Road and Caramel Fudge in the fridge.
Ham waiting to be glazed in the cold room.

Wishing everybody who stops by this blog a wonderful Christmas.
Enjoy.

  1. Hi Fiona
Long time reader, first time commenting! Thanks for sharing your interesting Australian life - I have no idea how you achieve the amount you do! I love hearing about your kids and am so impressed at how involved they are in the farm work. They certainly show up the computer/TV addicts of their own age. Love your sense of humour and seeing how important family is to you.
Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas and of course wishing enough rain!

  3. There is nothing much I can add that the first comment by Gee didn't already cover...long time reader, first time commenting etc etc. We live on a property in the centre of New South Wales, working hard to make a living but life for me is lifted by your positive posts and your sense of humour. Have a wonderful Christmas with your family, and thank you! Merry Christmas to you too Gee!

  7. Congratulations - you sound so organised. Maybe the rain on your roof is the best sound? I can hear it here too but it doesn't sound quite so melodic to me! Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas.

  9. Well Santa gave you the best of presents, RAIN.
Hope it keeps up and you get as much as you need. Have a great day, thankfully not too hot here in Brisbane. Had 3 wonderful days with a friend from College days (1950's!!! Cripes) at Alexandra Headlands. Seems we are not so brilliant these days at surfing - ha ha.
The spirit was willing, but the body was not - ha ha!
    Merry Christmas

  10. It would appear your Christmas wish came true Fiona!
And we are likely to see an unusual sight for Christmas in the wee morning...snow is predicted here on the Paicific NW coast!
A Merry Christmas to you and yours and thank you for sharing a little of your life in the Outback!

  12. well our bellies are stuffed and pants too tight from grazing all day, one all day smoko has been had! Santa came and the lego galore has been constructed, the aircon roaring and the sun is shining, which is the only blip on a wonderful day (that and the 4:45am dash to stop #2 kid from waking #3 kid, who needed his sleep - they hung out til 6am which is far more civilised!) Storm clouds brewed up this morning but have melted away this afternoon. Hope you have had a great day and elastic waisted pants were on the wardrobe rotation today!
