  1. The card and cake and photos are all so gorgeous. The sentiment from Sally to her mum melts my heart. What sweetness!

  3. Point form b/c thats all my Monday brain can cope with today.
    - I adore the name Sally (if we had another...)
    - You make a mean rainbow cake, those colours are so saturated, you must have used professional cake dye, not the standard Woolies stuff??
    - bought those pink straws on sale last week for my Lucy's birthday at the end of the month....and i like Sally's matching top!
    - You couldn't ask more than that letter at the end!
    xoxo

    1. My Sunday night brain couldn't cope with trying to come up with words, thus the picture-only post Olivia. Funny that you say you adore the name Sally, as my name choice for no. 4 child was actually Olivia. Matthew won with Sally and I now couldn't imagine her with any other name of course.

  4. what a sweet kid, and how great did that cake turn out!! Georgie turns nine here tomorrow (she keeps reminding us every morning how many more sleeps). I don't know about your nine year old, but mine hasn't hardly changed since the day she was born. Loud and opinionated and over the top but we wouldn't change her. Occasionally want to throttle ;-) but that's another story!!

Can we put this growing up business on hold?

(ps did Sally get new glitter pens for her birthday? ;-)

    1. Your Georgie and my Sally could very well be twins by the sound of it Sharon. This no. 4 child is certainly going to keep her mother on her toes ... all her life I fear.

    1. Don't worry Old Nev, while the rest of us enjoyed sausage rolls, chips, smarties and cake, we kept handing Grandi the odd broccoli floret or carrot wedge. I've a feeling she's looking forward to returning home.

  7. Awesome cake! What a gorgeous girl to write a note to her Mum on her birthday and what a great Mum to make the day so special that she didn't want it to end. Always love your pics.

  8. Oh my, I have a lump in my throat ... Isn't she lovely, your Sal? Sending Happy Birthday wishes to a lovely young girl. Superb photos, and I was impressed enough with the first photo of the cake - when I saw the inside I nearly fell off my chair! Is there anything you can't put your hand to?
